Phil mickelson would hate this
I tried ten of these from 3-10 feet. It’s like I dug a trench dieectly into the whole.
Hope you're doing well, wish I found these videos years ago... ❤
Imagine the number of lost balls after people try this.
Great drill especially for those who pull putts
This is sensational!
What a fantastic video. Really transformed my ball striking the last three rounds since I watched this. Thankyou
Im no pro, but this isnt quite right. The rotation and swing path doesnt affect the club face. To square face you absolutely need to have some wrist and hand movement. Still some useful info here though.
A bit more context would be. If you don't move the wrists or hands at all. The toe of the club wouldn't be pointing to the sky and we wouldn't be able to see the club face straight on. There has to be some sort of movement in the wrists at some point in the downswing to return the club face to square. Whether this is done by timing the rotation if the wrist right before impact or making the movement at the top of the downswing. It has to be done.
He is talking about wrists at impact any method that includes timing to square up the face at impact will always be inconsistent, nobody can retain that timing shot after shot.@@pancakelord21
background music was way too loud and I missed most of Seve's conversation. Seve was the Master!
I’ve been searching for this video and series of videos. Thank you!
instructions unclear i actually use this for baseball swing and improved lol
Lay ups r for basketball players bud
This video series helped me create a repeatable swing and I played my best golf while using Dave's videos. I come back at least once every year when I forget or get sloppy with the swing Dave teaches.
Loved this video as a junior and it is stl just as impressive 10 years later
I think you're suppose to let your arms drop first then you rotate to square the club face otherwise you will get stuck and hit a slice or you will end up flipping the club at impact I don't remember you talking about this?
Yeah good chipping don't need to take divots I agree if ur ever been n divots losing a bad shot
How many holes in own do you have? Zero or zero? 😂
nice n simple the way i do it too seems to work very well
Dave’s content is so great. Super surprised this channel never seemed to blow up. Everything about his instruction has seriously improved my game. Thanks Dave
suggestion to be more concise.. you call this a body swing/using body to square up, but there's still clearly trail arm extension, wrist unhinge, pronation / supination all happening which also affect the club face.
Dave Marsh is imo the best golf teacher on UA-cam. His vids are focused and concise. His point here about the importance of set up is rock solid. Arnold Palmer said the first foot of the back swing is most important.
Imo Dave Marsh has the best golf lessons on UA-cam. His point about visualizing the shot is pure gold.
Gréât vidéos; À pity you’re not doing anymore
Love you forever seve I've played for 51 yrs now out the same course, I have many grt friends but my spirit is with you ❤️
same swing with all club ?
Nice video and nice content👍 but wearing spikes and chipping off greens makes you a greens keeper’s nightmare 😂
Thanks a lot, just got in a bloody fist fight with my grounds keeper trying this.
Dave can not thank you enough brother I have followed this lesson for two years I have had 10 under par rounds 70 three times haven't been in the 60s yet thanks again brother this fing works
Simply Seve the man, the legend the best
He had the best imagination on the course a golfer has ever had.
Use the dam putter!
Thank God 🙏....We had a Seve... The Lord took him too early...
Greetings Dave - Super!!! Thank YOU!!!👏🥰
Brilliant
What bounce. On your wedge?
Great finnese. But didn't state what degree of loft? Bounce. Grip pressure? Assume its normal hold pressure to let the weight of club to do the work. The secret lies in the thorax turning away and turning back with the upper arms slightly attached to the upper body. Both works like a four wheel drive through for a skipping action. If the left arm leads, the club face will skid or top, and if the right arm power through and takeover, then the club face might give the yips like chopping down or bouncing too much to pop the ball trajectory higher. Great 👍 tip overall
What club are you using?
I don’t think it’s advisable to tell people to give it a go at their nearest putting green. Lmao! Chipping area all day long…
I never hit the ground on practice swing but real swing i always dig
Best drill I’ve seen for me
Seve at his best is the greatest golfer ever. When Tiger Woods was asked to describe Seve he said one word “genius”.
Just get a chipper club
The music is too loud...great man, nobody was as passionate about winning, as Seve. He had his bad side, but the guy loved to compete.
Is this for real??
The beauty of your technique is that even if you thin it a bit you will usually end up with a descent result.
Awesome instructional video
Where did dave dissappear too ??
Love it when he said. I hit a little nine eyeron. What charisma he had, what a man.
Such a beautiful man , I was lucky enough to follow him around the K Club and Druids Glen , he was wonderful . I watched him play the most remarkable recovery shots . There was an aura about him and his sheer will to win and compete was so intense and palpable . I find myself watching these videos and always tear up at the wonderful tributes and love expressed for him .
Phil told me to run from guys like you.
